MISSION STATEMENT

Sound Expressions provides Music Therapy services with dignity and respect for all individuals and families. We believe in person-centered therapy, inclusive of everyone, regardless of race or culture or economic status, and driven by an individual's strengths and self-determination.  We identify and apply appropriate musical interventions for the achievement of improved health, development, and satisfaction of our clients.

Our Business

Sound Expressions is the home-based private business of Board Certified Music Therapist, Susan A Gannon.  Through this business, Susan contracts with county and local agencies to provide music related services to children with special needs, and adults with dementia, traumatic brain injury, and related needs.

She also teaches dance and music classes, preschool music classes, and Kindermusik classes.

Who We Are

Susan Gannon, owner and founder of Sound Expressions, has had 25+ years experience in the medical and environmental sciences, education, creative arts, and music. Her last several years studying and practicing Music Therapy includes experiences with individuals and groups including the elderly with dementia and general weakness, children with special needs and disabilities, children on the autism spectrum, individuals in hospice and their families, and individuals with mental illness and traumatic brain injury.

Susan also provides piano lessons, guitar lessons, and Kindermusik classes for children and their caregivers ages birth to 7 years.
